Our granddaughter and her family moved here a month ago. We were visiting them from Winnipeg. The Inn is a beautiful combination of old world charm, vintage and historic decor with today's modern conveniences. We didn't have any meals there but we heard that the food is exceptional. The staff, from Barry at the front desk to Oxanna in housekeeping to the guys and Gail in the garden/maintenance/housekeeping and anything else they need her for, were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Carriage house on the main floor. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We toured the main house, which was lavish and amazing. Every room was unique and comfortable. Barry told us his wife did all the decorating in the rooms. Every room showcased her attention to detail without being cluttered. The location in town was perfect. The grounds/gardens were beautiful. The kitchen uses fresh herbs and vegetables in season from the garden. Gail was showing me some of the new herbs she found and was planting that the chef is excited to try, like Olive herb, or spicy oregano. The train was close behind the Inn but they aren't frequent, don't blow a horn and not through the night.

A charming inn. The location was good for walking into town. ( Duckys pub....great craft beer selection) The property was safe and secure. We had already stopped in roadside motels on our trip back from Ontario and did not get value for money, or feel that our trailer full of belongs would still be there when we woke up in the morning... So that was a great feeling for us. We had a lovely wander round the inn the next morning. The dining room and sitting rooms were very impressive with how the history of this beautiful inn has been preserved. We stayed in the carriage house at the back of the property overlooking gardens. The big stuffed toy dog was a cute touch.....makes you smile. So if you want a break from boring "run of the mill motels" on your road trip and want to relax in a small town for the night....this is a lovely spot.

The hotel is a lovely 19th century home with mostly period decor and furnishing. The owner and his staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, as was the dinner in the beautiful dining room. Booking and pre-ordering dinner is requested of guests. Sackville is an interesting small town with a university. There are lovely trails around the extensive waterfowl reserve in easy walking distance from the hotel. I walked from the Via Rail station in less than 10 minutes. An excellent pause on my way from Halifax to Charlottetown.

Nice location with lovely grounds with plenty of places to sit outside. I found the inn to be absolutely beautiful with its rich history and period furnishings and decorations. Very charming. Our room was clean and comfortable for the most part. Had dinner one evening in the restaurant. Food was a bit expensive but very good. The plantings/ trees and gardens were a treat to find and enjoy.

Loved being in a heritage home. We stayed in the Carriage House on the main floor so it was easy to haul our suitcases in. The beds were comfortable and clean. It was air conditioned. I so enjoyed looking at all the items in the main house. The staff though short staffed did everything they could to help you out. We so enjoyed our meals there too. Easy access to highway.
